Traditional Golf Management (TGM) is an affiliate of Traditional Golf Properties (TGP) – TGP is a Williamsburg, Virginia based owner of semi-private and private golf courses on the East Coast. TGM presently operates eighteen clubs including the facilities for TGP’s account and has expanded into third party management with ten properties in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. TGM has developed an innovative business model that is based on creating a value proposition that is relevant to a larger sector of the golfing public and generating strong and sustainable financial performance by maximizing rounds volume and ancillary spending. 

Unique and Differentiated Operating Model

TGM’s primary business strategy is centered on creating loyalty from all customer segments. This is accomplished by providing superior service, enhanced conditions, expanded offerings and tracking the usage and spending habits of our customers. This model is not standard within the industry and allows TGM to attract and retain a high percentage of golfers. This model has allowed TGM to leverage other available business segments such as golf packages, golf outings and high yielding daily fee play.

Key Revenue Drivers:

TGM’s members pay monthly dues ranging from $165 to $455, depending upon specific market economics as they apply to their home club. TGM customizes membership programs for each club to best suit the current market demand. A reciprocal membership program exists across all TGM clubs.

Golf Outings and F&B Events
These business segments allow TGM to maximize utilization and yield. TGM looks to generate up to 20% of its business through golf outings and F&B Events.  Both of these segments minimize risks such as weather and allow TGM to expose the clubs to perspective members. Each club also drives food and beverage spending through utilization of the existing infrastructure for functions during non-golfing timeframes.

Loyalty Programs
TGM maintains Loyalty Programs that target the occasional golfer and rewards them for frequency of play. These programs give preferential treatment to local players and allow us to track their play and spending habits. This segment is specifically marketed to generate daily fee rounds, functions, tournaments, and breed new club members.

Golf Packages
Through its affiliate Traditional Golf Packages ( many TGM clubs generate a significant number of high yielding rounds via vacationing golfers. All encompassing packages inclusive of travel, lodging, golf, F&B and other ancillary items are customized for the market, club and customer. TGM has compiled a sizable database of traveling golfers who would be prospects for destination golf in all markets.
